We are situated in a fabulous quiet parkside location with a dog friendly beach at the end of the road. No roads to cross to reach the beach so it also ideal for families. WiFi access is available in most parts of the guest house so also ideal for the business traveller. We have 2 family rooms, and extra beds or cots can be added to some of our doubles. We have one room dedicated to dog owners which has its own front door, so direct access across to the park. Please contact us for more details. Also we are just 10 minutes from the main shopping area with a wide range of eating places as well as the Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway (see our things to do in and around the area). The Baildon Royd is fully non-smoking. We also have a fully licensed bar available for our residents. All our guest rooms are tastefully decorated with modern conveniences; colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, free Wi -Fi, radio alarm clocks and complimentary mineral water on arrival. The Palms Hotel is a well run hotel in one of the best positions in Torquay, opposite the lovely Torwood gardens. Approximately 300 yards from the harbour, beach, shops and entertainment. It also has an Internet facilities so that you can keep in touch with others during your stay. Books, Toys, Colouring books available should it dare to rain Beach Towels to hire for the sunshine.There is Access to rooms at all times. All rooms have TV., Tea/coffee making facilities, Hair-dryers The Palms Hotel has a Licensed Bar, Evening snacks available. Access Statement The hotel is situated at the edge of the town centre, approximately 400 metres up a hill with a gradient of more than 1:20. The front entrance to the hotel is up winding steps of varying height and treads length from the pavement, it is well lit at night until midnight and the front covered porch is well lit until 11.00 pm. A door bell is on the main entrance, in the porch and by reception. The bedrooms are all located on the two upper floors, no lift is available. There are two flights of stairs between each floor. Thirteen steps and four steps to the first floor, and an extra ten steps and five steps to the second floor. A handrail is situated on the left of both the large flight of steps and on the short top flight of steps. Corridors are well lit at all times. Emergency exits are located up the first and third flight of stairs, both lead out to back stairways. The back parking area has two small spaces on a slope of less than 1:20, there are steps of varying height and treads length down to the front entrance. Finally please note there is now a £1.50 charge for all Credit Card transactions.
